Tech Lead

We are looking for a Tech Lead to support product teams in designing, estimating, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role focuses on technical leadership, system thinking, and delivery impact, rather than ownership of a specific technology stack.

Working Model & Hours

• Full-time, 9 am - 6pm CET timezone, remote-first.
• Outcome-driven environment: focus on delivery quality and decision making, not time tracking.
• Participation mainly in:
• Project kickoffs
• Technical discussions
• Estimation and planning sessions

Product & Industry Context

You will work on production-scale digital products, including:

• SaaS platforms
• Enterprise and B2B systems
• Feature-rich products with long-term roadmaps

Projects typically involve:

• Evolving legacy systems
• New feature development at scale
• Technical decisions with long-term architectural impact

This is not a short-term MVP or experimental environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Analysis & Solution Design

• Analyze complex product requirements and large features.
• Propose practical, maintainable technical solutions and architectures.
• Assess system-level impact, trade-offs, and technical risks.
• Ensure technical decisions align with both business goals and delivery constraints.

2. Estimation & Early-Phase Planning

• Break down requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
• Estimate development effort and complexity with a strong focus on realism.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to build feasible timelines and delivery plans.
• Play a key role during kickoff, scoping, and roadmap planning phases.

3. Technical Leadership During Delivery

• Provide clear technical direction to engineering teams.
• Review technical designs and key implementations.
• Help resolve complex technical blockers and high-impact issues.
• Maintain technical consistency and quality across projects.

4. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

• Act as the main technical point of contact for stakeholders, PMs, and developers.
• Translate business and product needs into technical approaches.
• Communicate technical constraints, risks, and options clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support distributed teams across different locations and time zones.

5. Multi-Project Support

• Support multiple projects in parallel, especially during early or critical phases.
• Context-switch effectively while maintaining technical clarity and quality.
• Adapt to different technologies and domains as project needs evolve.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Strong technical background with experience leading engineering teams.
• Proven ability to break down complex requirements, estimate development effort accurately, and lead technical decision-making.
• Solid system and architecture thinking.
• Experience supporting early project phases and delivery planning.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with distributed, cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working across multiple technology stacks (Java, Angular, Flutter) or domains.
• Experience as Solution Architect.
